Vintage 50s Gucci Shoulder Bag
A beautiful, but very vintage handbag from Gucci. This item features the classic 'GG' pattern in the deep cream background with the signature rich green & red stripe at the bottom of the bag, beneath which is a warm chocolate leather, that matches the top of the bag and strap. The gold hardware of the buckle is bright and shiny which matches the very large gold toned Gucci Motif that embellishes the enclosure of this bag. Within the lining is a velvety burnt orange shade. Given the stamp on the handle of this bag, we estimate this bag to be from the 1950s and as such, it does have significant wear. There is wear to the leather of this item especially around the base and handle. Within the bag there is noticeable damage and its quite dusty.
