Vintage Brass Surmadani

A fascinating artifact from the sub-continent, from where there are countless antiques that burst with such rich and vibrant history. This Surmadani as it is called, is used to house kohl or kajal. Eye cosmetics of a natural origin - unlike eyeliner. There are no maker's marks or hallmarks present, just the intricate detailing and wear/tear as pictured.
