Antique French 1739 Femmes Miltaires - Louis Rustaing de Saint-Jory

We will never quite manage to express how meaningful it can be to hold a book so old in your hands. This beautiful French written book is in excellent condition for its age. Leather bound back with fabric front, the beautiful gold paint has remained and whilst the pages are yellowed with age, they still turn easily. That being said, there is the wear and tear you would expect for an item this old, there leather has faded or in one part crumbled away. The book contains beautiful illustrations and if you are a fan of antique books and can read French and would enjoy learning about the development of feminism in 17th Century France, this would make an enlightening read. 

• 8/10 antique condition - for a book from 1739 this is in excellent condition - it does have some writing within, in both pen and pencil.
