Fiona Shaw Snowdomes series. These beautiful snowdomes were created by renowned Australian contemporary artist Fiona Shaw and are in exquisite condition.
Shaw is known for for working across multiple media disciplines, exploring history, the environment and globalisation in her work. She has been exhibited in the Sydney Biennale. Her interest in art was nurtured by her mother who took her to see the exhibition Two Decades of American Paintings at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. She continues to be a powerful voice in the art world.
The three globes are as follows:
Rising Tides: features an wavey textured base, coral with oil barrels is the central feature, with black & blue duo-chrome glitter, this snow globe plays Beyond the Reef and measures 15cm x 10cm x 10cm.
Lesion: sitting on a camouflage fortress like base, in the center is a brain sitting on a hand both also in a camouflage like pattern, which plays 'I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony and features red glitter. Measures 15cm x 10cm x 10cm.
Lair: the globe sits atop a manor house painted in black and white camouflage, and features three dogs standing on top of oil barrels and plays 'How much is that doggy in the window' and features red, blue and silver stars glitter. Measures 19cm x 13cm x 13cm.
