60s Copper Double Chafing Dish/Fondue Set


Rare piece in beautiful condition dating to 1968. Copper and brass chafing dish with black wooden handles and fuel pot.

  • Condition 8/10 antique condition. Pieces have a rich patina and have been lightly cleaned but not polished. There is one small dent to the lid(please see photos). Fuel pot has not been tested for functionality.
  • Made by Buffalo Manufacturing Co of Buffalo New York and fuel pot is stamped 1968. 
  • Measures 28cm high and 33cm wide(not including pan handle)

A chafing dish is a form of indirect heat stove which uses chafing fuel to heat a large shallow pan of water which subsequently heats a pan of food above. Chafing dishes are perfect for heating food during buffet display.
